Hi Danish women’s softball players, clubs and respected Danish softball community,

It is with pleasure I am able to announce that the Danish women’s national team are looking to take part in next years women’s World Championship. The event will take place in Surrey Canada, July 15-24th 2016.

There are some exciting things in store for women’s softball in the coming months. Including progress training camps and much more.

An event like this takes a lot of commitment and organization for everyone involved. We must see commitment from players or we will have to withdraw from events. This cost money and we could also lose backing from the federation.

I will be having an open trial for all those who wish to be a part of this campaign. My aim is to take the best players available. So all are welcome to join. I encourage clubs, team coaches, players to spread the word because these opportunities don’t always come often.

After the trial I will name a squad to continue to train over the winter.

The next follow up will be a compulsory planning meeting in November.

Further trainings will be given to squad once named. Expect one training every 2 weeks during the winter months.

Other important things to note.

From April next year team will train once a week (day and time to be confirmed) and I am planning to have women’s team in the second division competition.
