"Giving-back" for the national teams is part of a larger effort to strengthen all clubs, inspire engagement, create experiences, and foster development for both the community, our clubs, and the individual player.
The way to give back naturally depends on the players' age, roles, skills, and experience. The most important thing is that we all give back in some way for the development and long-term survival of softball.
The giving-back tasks should also be rewarding and enjoyable for the national team players, as they are giving back to their sport and to softball in Denmark.
Each season, the coaching staff will discuss with the team which tasks the team will collectively undertake. There are different tasks to choose from, and the requirements are adjusted for each age group.
A big thank you in advance to all of you who give back.
Examples of Giving-back tasks:
U19 players should take the 1-2 Coach course (8-hour course), which provides tools for being an assistant coach and knowledge about effective training methods.
Senior Men's team organizes and conducts a junior day for all.
Senior Women's team organizes and conducts a girls' camp or other girls' activity.
Both Senior Men's and Senior Women's teams can serve as guest coaches in clubs that request it.
All national teams must be active on our social media platforms, YouTube, and Instagram, sharing videos and photos from practices and trips.
Giving-back tasks are estimated at 8-10 hours per person per season. The teams themselves keep track of this and are responsible for providing enjoyable and valuable softball experiences that benefit our sport.
